The People’s Postcode Lottery (PPL) recognises the genuine impact local charities have on communities, and with the help of our players, we have been a proud supporter of them for over a decade. To date our players have raised over £161 million for charities, supporting over 2,800 grassroots groups and local projects. These projects will have received funding through three Small Grants Trusts, ranging from £500 up to £20,000.
PPL was established in 2005 specifically to raise funds for charities as a ‘not for commercial gain’ organisation, and have since grown to become a major charity fundraiser. As a society lottery with charitable giving at the heart of what we do, we are proud that 30% of each ticket goes directly to good causes.
With increasing pressures on charities, PPL players support has been a vital source of income for good causes across Great Britain.
We are delighted that the next small grants funding round will be opening in the New Year – details of which can be found on the three small grants websites:
- Postcode Community Trust – www.postcodecommunitytrust.org.uk
- People’s Postcode Lottery – www.postcodetrust.org.uk
- Postcode Local Trust – www.postcodelocaltrust.org.uk
If you are aware of any projects or local charities in your constituency in need of funding, please refer them to the small grants websites.
If you would like any more information or to further discuss how PPL is supporting local charities across Scotland, England and Wales, please don’t hesitate to contact PPL@grayling.com.
